Position Details
MES Project Manager
| SlimSoft's MES
Project Managers are our face to the customer.
Years of industry and project management
experience will showcase our company's depth of

SlimSoft's MES
Project Managers will conduct Technical Assessments to
determine the best solution to meet our customer's
Manufacturing Execution Systems needs. Additionally,
they will provide project management for our projects
and will coordinate the activities of our subcontractors
and Costa Rica based resources, to meet the project's
budget and timeline. When required, the individual will
provide high-level consulting services to our customers
and partners, as well as provide configuration,
programming and diagnostic services for our MES
solutions.
Pre-requisites:
- Engineering or IT degree that will meet the
educational requirements for a TN Visa (Temporary
NAFTA work visa for work in Canada or United States,
as appropriate).
- Experience deploying Quality, Reliability, Lot
Tracking and Process Order systems to a variety of
manufacturing environments.
- Leadership involvement in integrating ERP, MES and
Control Systems. Use of both commercially available
solutions, in addition to developing custom
applications based upon standard building blocks.
- Broad experience in industrial processes such as
Food and Beverage, Paper, Chemical, Consumer Packaging
and Discrete Manufacturing.
- Detailed knowledge of at least one industrial
process.
- Experience with either the application of Control
Systems or ERP Systems to the manufacturing
environment.
- A working knowledge of SQL and Visual Basic.
- Experience leading a small team of professionals
on medium sized projects of up to 5,000 hours.
- Strong Interpersonal Skills.
- Strong Organizational Skills.
Location: Canada or USA (Home Based)
Travel: Traveling up to one third of the time
within North America

Manufacturing Systems Analyst

They are responsible for designing, implementing and supporting solutions for our customers, working directly with our global Manufacturing Consultants. |
A successful candidate will be responsible for participating in the analysis, design, development, implementation and support activities for applications that interface directly with control equipment and instrumentation associated with the manufacturing of products across multiple vertical industries. Responsibility to prioritize and solve daily tasks and present solutions to customers is expected. Growth opportunities exist for a candidate that is team-oriented, self-directed and displays the initiative to deliver results in a Customer facing, dynamic and results oriented Company.
Pre-requisites:
- Communicate with customers to determine requirements and suggest solutions to empower them to effectively run their manufacturing processes.
- Plan, Prioritize, Lead and Manage small implementation projects.
- Participate and document system design, execution and end-user requirements.
- Provide leadership and rotating support activities of implemented and proposed solutions to the customer.
- Participate in the implementation of manufacturing solutions across multiple industries.
- Lead and Participate in the development of existing and green field software solutions from a tactical and strategic perspective.
- Make recommendations to customers regarding the integration and application of implemented solutions to increase manufacturing effectiveness across the organization.

Team Leader
|
Like any growing
company, ensuring a strong foundation is essential
to success. Our Costa Rica based Team Leader will
be the foundation upon which our Costa Rican team
will build. |
The Team Leader will be the
Primary Point of Contact for our Manufacturing
Consultants. The successful candidate participates in
the day to day management of SlimSoft's Costa Rican
office as well as managing part of SlimSoft's Costa
Rican Team. A blend of business skills and technical
ability will define the ideal candidate for this
role.
Pre-requisites:
- At least 8 years experience in the IT industry
with a minimum of 2 years in a management or team
leader position.
- Ideal candidate will have previous experience in
an outsourcing or call center company as a Team Leader
or Supervisor.
- Customer Driven "can do" attitude.
- The ability to perform the functions of a
"Solution Developer" during the start-up phase of the
company would be considered a strong asset.
- IT or Engineering Background.
- Strong Interpersonal Skills.
- Strong Organizational Skills.

Solution Developer

SlimSoft's Solution Developers will mainly be
performing development and implementation services in
support of our Canada and US based Manufacturing
Consultants. These project specific solutions will
include deliverables such as web based reports, custom
user interfaces (both web based and thick client based),
hand-held wireless applications, systems interfaces,
etc.
Pre-requisites:
- Excellent understanding of written and spoken
English. Good oral communication skills will be
considered a major asset.
- University or Tech School Graduate with a diploma
in IT studies.
- Skilled in SQL Programming, with excellent
knowledge of Relational Databases.
- Experience developing in Visual Basic or Visual
Basic for Applications (VBA).
- Knowledge in VB.NET and C#.
- Knowledge in a variety of Web Based Development
Technologies including some of: HTML, ASP, ASP.NET,
JavaScript, AJAX, and Web Services (SOAP).
- Excellent Knowledge of Microsoft Technologies
